An Exciting NEW TOY Your Kids Will Fight Over!

Brought to you by Warner Bros. Consumer Products Australia

My ‘girls can do anything‘ heart sings whenever I watch my daughter tackle an activity traditionally dominated by males, one of these is skateboarding.

Hubby started longboarding a few years ago and since then our trio have got on board with it. My 5yo even scored a mini skateboard from a car boot sale for $1 and it’s one of his favourite toys.

So you can imagine my delight when I was told Warner Bros. Consumer Products, in collaboration with Big W, has released a funky DC Super Hero Girls skateboard.

Featuring the Super Hero I wanted to be as a young girl, Wonder Woman, it’s part of the push to harness the strength and inner power that the DC Super Hero Girls encourage.

I would have loved a skateboard with Wondy on it, but then again I would have had to fight my sisters for it, just like my boys have been fighting their sister for a turn on THIS skateboard.

Who can blame them, it’s appealing to kids because it’s vibrant and colourful but most importantly it’s a SKATEBOARD!

With a RRP of just $30, I truly believe it’s a must-have for every girl, or boy, because it encourages them to get outside and off screens.

The beauty of this skateboard is that it’s made for young kids, so they won’t go roaring down the hill out of control and break bones.

These boards aren’t designed for speed which is fine with me. My daughter had heaps of fun skating about, fully geared up of course because #safetyfirst!

Look at her face as she jumps off the board to show her skills? If that isn’t pure joy then I don’t know what is!

If you’re not aware of the DC Super Hero Girls, their universe celebrates:

  • Friendship
  • Strength
  • Teamwork
  • Unlocking your full potential

The girls at Super Hero High include Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Bumblebee, Poison Ivy, Katana, Starfire and Frost.

The DC Super Hero Girls also have their own website, Instagram account, App and Facebook page. You can also watch webisodes on their YouTube channel.

Be warned, the theme song music is really catchy and promotes girl power!

“Get your cape on, and let’s take flight, you can do anything, we can be who we like, get your cape on”

Here’s a short video of my trio mixing it up outside and enjoying some good old-fashioned fresh air and exercise – with a dash of melodrama for good measure!

You can buy the DC Super Hero Girls skateboard at Big W both in-store and online, RRP $30.

And trust me; you’ll want to have a turn on it. Although if you’re as uncoordinated as me I suggest you just stick to flat surfaces around the house like I did!

Are you a skateboard fan?

Did you have one as a child?

Have you got girls that would just adore the DC Super Hero Girls?

  1. I was all about the roller skates when I was a kid but I do love a babe on a board, for sure! Very cool. Pretty sure Harlow needs one. xx
