Exciting News For Harry Potter Fans + Giveaway

Brought to you by Warner Bros. Consumer Products

It goes against every ounce of my being to see a movie before I’ve read the book.

As for the world’s most popular wizard, Harry Potter, I have to confess I saw the movies first. In fact I’ve only just finished reading the first book over the school holidays.

I think it’s my age. When they first came out I was 19 and at uni and too busy painting the town red to read sensible books.

I’ve since discovered that it’s such a fabulous series, and we’re about to buy the second book and keep reading.

So you can imagine my delight when Warner Bros. Consumer Products asked if they could send me some Harry Potter Tween apparel to review and then give away TWO sets!

Of course my tween daughter is Gryffindor mad and unhappily modelled the range for me.

No that wasn’t a typo. She was happy for two minutes and then lost it. It was about 35C and she was NOT in the mood for trying on clothes.

We are going through ‘that stage’ where I am the idiot she eye rolls at a thousand times a day. Anyway, we got through it, with some help from her brother.

Who I might add looks quite the part in the Harry Potter hoodie and track pants. The clothes are available exclusively at Big W and are priced from just $15.

Can I just add the fabric quality is good and the shirts have some lovely embellishments.

But first, introducing my two models….. (I really wanted to publish the one of my daughter giving me the evil eye but thought better of it, digital footprint and all that)

Comments

  1. I asked my Harry Potter loving tweenager to answer the question and she replied with, “Hermoine, because she’s really smart, has great hair and an awesome accent!” Great comp. Thanks so much HALOM and Warner Bros x

  2. I would love to win a size 6 for my Harry Potter obsessed little friend, Noah. He and his parents are wizard nuts!

    • Whoop! Didn’t read the question…. Hmmm. I guess Hermione because she’s a female and I love Emma Watson and her principles!

  3. Danielle Nichols says:

My 10 year old Harry Potter and all things hogwarts has answered with Hermione !! because she is smart, without her saving the day with spells harry and Ron would be in serious trouble, she is usually the one that solves the mysteries and she has learnt to stand up to her bullies,

  4. Luna Lovegood, because she is understanding of the free will of others and she is true to herself.

  5. Holly Smith says:

Miss 9 loves the Harry Potter collection and she always tells me she wants to be just like Hermione, because she is smart and can do magic better than the boys! She would be a size 10 if we won! Thanks

  6. My kids are still a little bit too little for Harry Potter but my 14 year old niece loves it. She isn’t around to ask but I think Dumbledore would be her favourite. He has a unique way of looking at the world and so does she.

  7. Me: Nick, who is your favourite Harry Potter character?
Nick: Harry Potter, of course (like DUUUUUH MUM)
    Me: Not Snape?
Nick: NO! Snape is the bad guy!!
Me: But you like Darth Vader?

Me 1. Nick 0. But his favourite Harry Potter character is still Harry. I think it’s because Nick has a lightning scar on his chin, so the thinks he’s somehow connected to Harry. He often says “Imagine if it was on my forehead!”

  8. Inca Guthrie says:

My daughter is obsessed with Hermoine. Apparently Hermoine is “her mascot” because she is smart, stylish and sassy. Well, as far as “Mascots” go, I think she has chosen wisely!

  9. Size 16 please
Of course my favourite character would have to be Neville Longbottom. He swiftly avoided being The Chosen One and happens to seem cowardly but is actually one of the most deserving and brave wizards, to go through such tragedy and still be a kind and caring person.
Not to mention his name is now an adjective for when puberty does people serious favours!

  10. Hermione Granger, without doubt the cleverest (and most badass) witch at Hogwarts and champion of female fiction characters.

    Size 10 – 12 Boys please.

  11. We are reading the series with my eldest daughter and she absolutely loves them! We are half way through book 3. Even heading to a HP night at the library next week. Her favourite character is Hermione, a strong female character who always has her nose in a book just like my daughter.

  12. Neville Longbotton because even though he kinda sucks at magic, isn’t terribly popular and his confidence levels are low, he just keeps on going. Plus he killed he who must not be named so that’s a bonus!

    Size 10-12 boys please.

  13. hi
I would love harry potter my grandson age 5 thinks he’s the best wizard he loves the
films i got him a small wand and he loves it

  14. I asked my little lady, who is 8 and she says Hermione because she just likes her – such a typical answer from an 8 year old. She is a size 8.
